The Mandala Foundation hosted a networking breakfast on World Day for Safety and Health at Work, with presentations from Australian Red Cross and St John of God Health Care.
The Mandala Foundation works to strengthen humanitarian emergency, disaster relief and development action through the psychosocial support of aid workers, managers and organisations in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
We provide specialist psychosocial and psychological assignment support services for humanitarian aid and development workers. Services include psychological testing and screening; pre-assignment briefing and preparation; psychological counselling; post-assignment debriefing; and vocational counselling.
Our workshops aim to increase understanding of the psychosocial risks faced by aid workers on assignment. They also provide practical strategies for reducing stress and strengthening psychological resilience. Core workshops are offered throughout the year, and we can also deliver tailored training to whole staff teams upon request.
We offer tailored consultancy services that assist aid organisations to develop, enhance and sustain their own in-house systems of staff support. Services include auditing current systems and practices; assisting organisations to develop staff support policies; and ongoing mentoring for managers.
